Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we do with the personal information you give us
through this website. We've tried to write it in plain English rather than
legal boilerplate.
Who we are
Sperrin Solar Systems ("we", "us") is the data controller for the
information collected through this site.
When you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, your phone number,
your email address if you give one, your address and postcode, what you told us you're
interested in, and anything you write in the message box. We don't collect
anything else, and there's no tracking or profiling on this site.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use it for one thing: to answer your enquiry and, if you want to go
ahead, to arrange a survey and quote. The lawful basis is that processing
is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract,
and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry is passed to GoHighLevel, the
system we use to keep track of enquiries and make sure nobody is missed.
They process it on our behalf and cannot use it for their own purposes.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to other installers,
finance companies or marketing lists.
How long we keep it
If you become a customer, we keep your records for six years after the
work is completed, so we can honour warranties and meet our accounting and
MCS obligations. If you enquire and don't go ahead, we delete your details
after 24 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
have anything inaccurate corrected
ask us to delete it
ask us to restrict or stop processing it
object to processing based on legitimate interests
If you think we've handled your information badly, please tell us first so
we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information

Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed
for the site to work at all. Others help us understand how people use it,
or let us follow up on enquiries and show our ads to people who have
already been here.
We ask before setting anything that isn't essential, and nothing in the
analytics or marketing categories loads until you agree to it. You can

Essential
One small entry that remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask you the
same question on every visit. That's it. These can't be switched off,
because without them we couldn't remember that you'd said no.
Analytics
With your agreement we use Google Analytics to see which pages people
read, how they found us, and where they give up. It tells us what's working
on the site. It doesn't tell us who you are, and we don't use it to build a
profile of you.
Marketing
With your agreement we use GoHighLevel, which is the system we manage
enquiries in, along with advertising tools from Google and Meta (Facebook
and Instagram). These let us follow up properly on an enquiry and show our
ads to people who have already looked at the site.
If you say no
The analytics and marketing scripts are never added to the page. Declining
doesn't limit anything you can do here — the site, the diagram and the
enquiry form all work exactly the same.

One thing that loads from elsewhere
The typefaces on this page are served by Google Fonts, which means your
browser makes a request to Google carrying your IP address. It doesn't set
a cookie, and it happens whatever you choose above. Most browsers and
privacy extensions can block it if you'd rather it didn't.

What this website is
This site describes the solar PV, battery storage and EV charging work we
do. It's information, not an offer or a contract.
Figures and diagrams
The generation, storage and charging figures shown in the diagram on this
page are illustrative — they describe roughly how a typical domestic system
behaves on a bright day. They are not a prediction of what your property
would produce. Only a site survey can tell you that, and any figures we
give you afterwards will be in writing.
Quotes
Nothing on this site is a quotation. We quote in writing after a survey,
and that written quote is what forms the basis of any agreement between us.
Accuracy
We keep this site up to date as best we can, but product specifications,
grants, tariffs and export payment rates change. Please check anything
important with us directly before relying on it.
Liability
We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by
negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be
excluded. Beyond that, we aren't liable for loss arising from relying on
general information on this website.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.
